Letter From Jaden To Jessica

Hey kiddo. I can`t imagine what your going through soo I`m not even going to try to counsel or tell you what to do. But I can tell you what helps. Take the bad and make it good. Then take the good and make it better. This life is full of challenges and difficulties. Saddness is a choice or a result of our choices.

We choose the kind of person we are going to be. We may not be able to choose everything that happens to us. Be we can choose how to react. And we can choose who we will become. You are here on the earth because of a choice you made in the premortal courts of heaven and because of that choice you were given the opportunity to be here and learn what you need to. We are here to learn to choose correctly even through hard things. As you make the small little choices in your life as to what you do, Slowly you learn how to make the little choices as to who you will become. What you choose to do today will determine who you will be tomorrow.
Who you will be tomorrow will determine what you choose to do the next day. And so it goes on in this choosing to do and choosing to become process. That is a powerful process. I love you kiddo and i hope you are happy. The lord loves you and he will hep you if you choose to let him. Here is my scripture for you. Joshua 24:15. Have a great week.

Love your older brother
Elder Thurgood (Jaden)

  1. Janet, thank you for posting Jadens letter to Jessica for us to read. Everything he said is absolutely true, beautiful and wonderful counsel and not only for Jessica but for all of us. It was truly inspiring for me to read.

We have been sharing Jessica's Blog with many friends and relatives up here in Canada and as they read it and look at the pictures they all tell us what a beautiful girl Jessica is, inside and out. Her beautiful spirit just radiates in her eyes and in her entire face. We love you Jessica and you are such an inspiration to all who know you. All our love --- Grandpa & Grandma Harding

  2. Thanks Dad,
Jaden was right. It's all a choice. Everything we do is a choice. I appreciate his positive attitude and his big brother advice to Jessica. It's certainly something we can all take to heart.
I'm glad we can keep you in the loop like this.
Technology is such a blessing right now.

  4. He will submit his papers to go in October or November. He can leave as early as December of this year. He'll miss Jaden by a couple of months if he goes out this December. That will be 4 years total until he sees his brother.
These boys are better for it.
