Of course, Coach Pete, Kellen Moore, Tyler Shoemaker, and several others were the crowd favorites, but we enjoyed getting to know some of the faces of the team that we don't always see in the limelight too. The girls, of course, had to run the length of the field. They were surprised at how small the field seemed and how huge the players were in person.
Bryant was especially thrilled to have Kellen Moore sign his hat and Carston's shirt. Each of us got a special photo that the players signed and took it home as a special keepsake. Our family was given tickets to the game on Nov 26th against Wyoming with front and center seating and a photo opp with some of the players on the BLUE after the game. That should make David happy since he missed all the fun yesterday.
A pretty fun memory. It's kind of sad that it takes a tragedy like cancer to give some kids this kind of opportunity, but amazing that the team and the players are as involved as they are when it comes to giving back to their community. They were all so gracious and kind and many of them said that this was a highlight for them to get out and hang out with these families each year.
Not the greatest picture, but we have a few more coming
