Grandma and Grandpa and Jaden

Jessica got to have a good visit with her Grandparents from Canada. It was a much needed distraction for her. We spent three days at home resting and getting used to the new med. schedule and then went back in today for just a half day of Clinic, Spinal Tap, and Chemo. We got done sooner than we thought so it was a nice surprise to come home a bit early.

So far we can't complain about how it's going. Jessica is pretty tired. She's had trouble with her sense of smell and taste and has a hard time eating most things. Most of her pain is gone for now and we are just bracing ourselves for what will happen to her H-A-I-R.

Yes I did just spell that. Isn't there an unwritten rule that when a mother spells, her kids can not hear or understand what she is saying???? We have tread lightly around that word. It is a sensitive subject to her right now.

Jaden's letter to Jessica this week:

Jessica, this is a test you were made for and I don´t know of anyone better prepared for the test than you. Do not let this test define who you are. Many people hear the work cancer and let themselves fall into a certain category. Don´t fall into that category. You are still Jessica. Be yourself. Cancer is not who you are. It´s a sickness. This test is preparing you for the things to come. Grow in your testimony of the gospel and the SaviorJesus Christ in these moments. Learn what he wants you to learn. I promise you he will lead guide and direct you.

Helaman 3:35:

35. Nevertheless they did fast and pray oft, and did wax stronger and stronger in their humility, and firmer and firmer in the faith of Christ, unto the filling their souls with joy and consolation, yea, even to the purifying and the sanctification of their hearts, which sanctification cometh because of their yeilding their hearts unto God.
